Best bang for your buck

I'd been looking for a wireless charger for my M3 for awhile, but never pulled the trigger for various reasons. When I came across this Falk MFG set up, I knew it was the one to try. I wanted to keep the look of the interior as OEM as possible and this succeeds in that aspect. What I love about it is how understated it is. If you don't know it's a wireless charger, you would never guess it was. And that is exactly what I wanted.

The instructions are very straightforward and do a great job of walking you through the steps. With a little patience and less than an hour of your day this will be done and you'll be on your way. Wholeheartedly endorse this product.

Superb quality and easy installation. Works great with flip phones too

I had a wireless charger in a previous e90 that was hit or miss so I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package and realized how well-made this one is, and the walls of it and tabs are much thicker than even the OEM tray which I had previously replaced my ashtray with. I went with the suede upgrade and it has a nice feel to it and it looks much more luxurious than the OEM tray. The lack of a visible logo or branding is what drew me to this one vs others. The 3D printing is as good as I've seen and matches the car perfectly, without any indication that it's not an OEM part.

Installation was very quick - it took me about 20 minutes to install and it includes a torx wrench for the screws that hold it in. Since my car was optioned with the smoker's package, it had wires to tap into up front, and using the original ashtray's amber LED gives it a very OEM look.

My phone is a Samsung Z Flip 5 in a protective case, and it fits easily while both folded and open. Because of the 3 charging coils, charging works no matter where I place the folded phone within the tray, and my phone show's "fast charging" on its screen. I use wireless carplay/android auto which requires bluetooth, wifi, and GPS to all run so it's pretty power-intensive on my phone and I was very psyched to see that the phone's battery percentage was still increasing during heavy usage. This isn't the case when I plug my phone into a standard USB charger like the armrest USB port. I was also surprised that the phone didn't seem to get any warmer while charging than it usually does during wireless carplay/android auto.

It feels pretty weird to get so excited about such an inexpensive upgrade, but it's really nice not having to deal with a charging cable. I've already recommended it to two friends who have the same car.

Best wireless charger on the market!

I got FalkMFG's wireless phone charger to compare to my Induktiv E9x wireless charger and think that this is easily the winner.

If you're familiar with DIY projects, installing this one is easy. Falk provided everything you need and everything is high quality. Everything here shown is 3d printed with a suitable thermoplastic, and the quality of the print is mind blowing. It's near flawless and you can't tell it's 3d printed at a glance when it's installed.

Between this one at the Induktiv one, both provide high quality parts and installation guides/procedures. Performance is, from my couple drives, the same as the induktiv one. With carplay on, both effectively keep my battery charged. Not gaining any battery because of how intensive carplay is on my phone, but not losing any either.

But that's not why I think this is the better product. This one is (1) a solid chunk cheaper, (2) includes the OEM orange LED which looks quite nice imo, (3) overall looks better with non intrusive branding, (4) better fitment (induktiv one has an inner lip that doesn't exactly contour the center console), and (5) the opening is slightly larger. The larger opening wasn't an issue for my phone because of my rubber case (not pictured), which kept it from sliding everywhere. I got the suede option as well, and it feels great.
